Coaching · Promotion Sprint

Walk in as the obvious choice.

A promotion conversation or a senior interview is coming. Three to four weeks with Ashley or Doug to shape your story, practise it under pressure, and show up at the level you're stepping into.

$1,750 + HST · three to four weeks

30 minutes · a clear recommendation · no pitch. Tell us your date and we'll plan back from it.

This is for you if…

You've been asked to put your name forward

An internal posting, a succession conversation, or an acting role you want to make permanent. The decision is weeks away.

You're up against strong candidates

External hires, or people you've worked beside for years. Being good at the current job won't carry the interview on its own.

You know you're ready, but does the panel?

Your track record is real. The hard part is telling it as a story about the next role, not the last one.

What you get

An intake and three focused sessions over three to four weeks, planned back from your interview or decision date.

  1. Intake and positioning. The role, the decision-makers, and what they'll need to see. Where you're strong, and where they'll probe.
  2. Story and evidence. Your narrative for the next role, and the three or four proof points that carry it. Practised until it sounds like you, not a script.
  3. Mock interview and feedback. A realistic panel run with the questions you're dreading, then specific, candid feedback on what landed and what didn't.
  4. Final prep and presence. Your opening, the hard questions, how you close, and how you carry yourself at the level you're stepping into.

Virtual on Microsoft Teams. Works for internal promotions, executive interviews and board or panel presentations.

What changes

Going in cold

  • Answers that describe the job you have now
  • Examples that are true but don't add up to a story
  • Rehearsing alone, so the first real run is the interview
  • The hard question you hoped they wouldn't ask

After the sprint

  • A clear story about the role you're stepping into
  • Three or four proof points you can tell in under two minutes
  • A full mock panel behind you, with candid feedback
  • An answer ready for the question you were dreading

Your investment

“Absolutely outstanding. He has a deep understanding of how large corporations work, and approaches every assignment as a partnership, just as committed to the result as we were.”

Through business and strategy: how executives evaluate a candidate, the case for what you'd change in the role, and answers that sound like someone already doing the job.

Questions leaders ask

My interview is soon. Is there time?

Tell us the date when you book. Three to four weeks is ideal, and we plan the sessions back from your date.

Will my employer know?

Only if you tell them. Coaching is confidential, and many leaders fund their own promotion prep for exactly that reason. If your employer is paying, we can invoice them directly.

Does it work for external interviews?

Yes. The sprint works the same way for an executive role at another organization, a board appointment, or a panel presentation.

How are sessions held?

Virtually on Microsoft Teams, scheduled around your calendar.
